Continuing Education: Somatics

Somatics Massage

Tight muscles may need “unwinding.” Through very specific exercises, we can re-educate the brain to start releasing long-held patterns. The brain’s signals to muscle nerves are an important key to muscle relaxation.

The exercises are part of client education, and the release involved must actually occur before a client can start strengthening the muscle. The study of posture is a key component of these classes.
