Massage Schools: Swedish Massage Training

Swedish massage is one of the foundational modalities that we teach at NHI. It is a very popular form of massage that is practiced in spas and clinical settings throughout the world. The fluidity of Swedish massage, including long, sweeping strokes over the body with proper oils, can provide a deep level of relaxation, stress reduction and alleviation of daily aches and pains.

NHI provides a thorough education in Swedish massage techniques. Our students learn professional draping, proper use of their bodies as they practice massage, as well as a variety of skills that can be incorporated into a Swedish massage. Our Swedish Sequence is the foundation upon which many other advanced modalities are built, such as Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Prenatal and Sports massage.
