Please join Cynthia Ribiero, on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at NHI’s Emeryville Campus for this one day in-person massage therapy continuing education workshop.
Cynthia, has a degree in physical education, studied surgical nursing and graduated from two massage school programs. She founded the Western Institute of Neuromuscular Massage Therapy, and was appointed honorary clinical professor at the University of California-Irvine Medical School in 2003. Currently, she is advanced program developer and instructor at the National Holistic Institute, as well as a past president of AMTA.
Headaches are one type of pain that people feel is “normal.” Most of the attention has been focused on four of the most prevalent types of headaches.
- Tension Type Headache (TTH)
- Cervicogenic Headache
- Migraine without Aura
- Myogenic
The most common form of headache is the Tension Type Headache; it is also the most often neglected. “Functional and work disability has been described by 60% of patients with headache and accounted for 64% of the reduction in working capacity due to head pain.”
This workshop will provide neuromuscular therapy techniques to assist your patients with their headache pain management.
