Please join Cynthia Ribiero, on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at NHI Santa Ana Campus for this one day in-person massage therapy continuing education workshop.

This in-person continuing education workshop will address the brachial plexus and the musculature that can impingement upon the Brachial Plexus and, more specifically, the median nerve, which can create symptoms that mimic CTS.

Patients experiencing CTS will complain of:

  • Tingling and numbness in the Fingers or hand. typically the thumb, index, and middle fingers are the most affected.
  • Weakness in the hand which can lead to occasionally dropping of objects due to either hand numbness or weakened thumb muscles which prevent grasping and pinching.

A recent meta analysis of CTS Surgery data indicates that conservative treatments for CTS should be preferred for mild and short-term CTS. It is also possible that persistent symptoms and complications care become more severe after surgery.

You will learn neuromuscular therapy techniques to re-educate the neuromuscular pattern due to myofascial pain and dysfunction by utilizing orthopedic assessment, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point therapy, PNF techniques, and multi-directional deep transverse friction.

For assessment purposes, wear a tank top or sports bra.

Please bring a complete set of sheets, (1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet, 2 bolster covers, and a face cradle cover), a blanket, and lubricant. Massage tables will be provided.

WORKSHOP COST: $500
