- Barbara Dee WhiteInstructorBarbara Dee White is a CAMTC Certified Massage Therapist and International Loving Touch Foundation Certified Infant Massage Instructor. She is most at home working with parents and babies in the capacity of prenatal, postpartum, and infant massage as well as using her additional training in lactation support to assist parents in troubleshooting the early days of breast/chest feeding. A mother of two precious and wild ones, she strives to find the beauty in balance and when not teaching massage to her incredible NHI students she and her babies can be found hiking in the woods, soaking in the sun on the beach, or playing and meditating in her garden.Breanna ChristensonInstructorBreanna Christenson is a mentor and teacher on the Petaluma Campus. She first came to NHI in 2011 as a student, with a thirst for knowledge and clearly committed to more deeply understand the body. She has been a practicing massage therapist since her graduation. Breanna has completed 1350 hours of education in massage therapy, including 450 hours of Advanced Neuromuscular Massage Therapy training. Walt Whitman once said that ‘If anything is sacred, the human body is sacred.’ Through her positive, and lively teaching style, Breanna exemplifies this ideal in the classroom. She believes that massage is much more than putting our hands on the client, and that the first step toward helping others, is being able to take care of ourselves. Besides teaching, Breanna is currently practicing her work in Santa Rosa.David BloomerCampus Manager/InstructorDavid is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. He is a graduate of NHI’s Advanced Neuromuscular Program and Core Program. As a full time massage therapist, he has utilized advanced neuromucular techniques to perform rehabilitative massage for people experiencing post-injury pain or limitations. He also has experience as a massage therapist in the chiropractic and corporate environments. In addition to his education at NHI, David also assists his clients with his extensive experience as a student of metaphysical science. “What I love about teaching massage at NHI is the opportunity it offers students to constantly challenge themselves and to experience themselves in a powerful and transformative way.”Gabriel BloomerInstructorGabriel left his previous career as a grocer to become a massage therapist. It wasn’t that he didn’t enjoy his job, the only thing about it he found fulfilling were his customers: building relationships and bringing a relaxed, grounded, nurturing presence to his interactions. Massage felt like a natural fit, allowing him to do what he truly loved, helping people feel a sense of wholeness and self-worth. After he graduated in January 2012 he worked in day spas, destination spas, as an independent contractor, and in his own private practice. While he was a student at NHI he rediscovered his love of teaching, leading him here, to share his love of the art and people with his students. “The great teacher is not the man who supplies the most facts, but the one in whose presence we become different people.” ~ Ralph Waldo EmersonGonzalo Figueroa LanderosSenior Manager / InstructorAfter graduating from NHI in 2003, Gonzalo worked in high-end resort, hotel and day spas in the Napa Valley and San Francisco. He also worked in a holistic center where his focus was prenatal massage. “We all possess the talent of massage; those of us that choose to refine it are fortunate and blessed. I love the diversity of the students at NHI. I’m constantly meeting amazingly wonderful people that inspire me to be the best massage therapist and the best teacher possible.”Jessica MurphyInstructorJessica Murphy has been in the field of massage therapy since 2009, and is a graduate of National Holistic Institute. Her philosophy is, “With balance comes healing” and believes that massage is a vital contributor in creating a path of wellness. In addition to massage therapy, Jessica is a professional performing artist, and has been dancing through life since early childhood. She is also a mother, and enthusiast of all that can be transformed into art, self-expression, and the facilitation of healing. Since completing the massage therapy training program, Jessica’s ambition was to one day return to the institution that helped pave her path, and served as a platform for discovery and success. Having attained her design, she is delighted to help others discover within themselves their own gifts, strengths, and success.
