It wasn’t that he didn’t enjoy his job, the only thing about it he found fulfilling were his customers: building relationships and bringing a relaxed, grounded, nurturing presence to his interactions. Massage felt like a natural fit, allowing him to do what he truly loved, helping people feel a sense of wholeness and self-worth. After he graduated in January 2012 he worked in day spas, destination spas, as an independent contractor, and in his own private practice. While he was a student at NHI he rediscovered his love of teaching, leading him here, to share his love of the art and people with his students. “The great teacher is not the man who supplies the most facts, but the one in whose presence we become different people.” ~ Ralph Waldo EmersonGonzalo Figueroa LanderosSenior Manager / InstructorAfter graduating from NHI in 2003, Gonzalo worked in high-end resort, hotel and day spas in the Napa Valley and San Francisco.
