She has known that her path in life would lead her to Massage Therapy since she was 15 years old and tells anyone who will listen how National Holistic Institute has changed her life. While her experience is mostly in spa environments, she is passionate about how massage can affect a person’s mental health, specifically Anxiety Disorders. In her free time, she enjoys cross-stitching and crocheting while at various soccer games with her family. She is excited to continue to be a part of the NHI family and spark the same passion for massage that was sparked in her.Lauralee GeisInstructorLauralee has over 20 years of experience in the massage industry having worked with a chiropractor and physical therapist for many years, while simultaneously building her own private practice. She is passionate about helping students discover that moment where they know this profession is where they belong. Lauralee believes in facilitating healing from the inside out and that you have to give what you want to receive back.Kati WhitneyProgram Manager/InstructorKati Whitney attended the Core Program at NHI Petaluma, and continued her education in the Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy Program at NHI Emeryville. She graduated in 2011 and has worked in various settings, including a sports chiropractic office, day spa, and a private practice specializing in injury rehabilitation and assisting clients pre- and post-surgery. Before enrolling at NHI as a student, Kati was a gymnastics coach for many years. She taught all levels, from babies just learning to walk to high-level, competitive athletes. She has also been a speaker at National Gymnastics conventions. That experience cultivated her passion for learning more about the body and all that it is capable of doing. While a student at Sonoma State University, Kati worked in the anatomy and genetics labs doing research, and is a published geneticist. In the summer of 2009, she worked with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama to collect DNA from fish found all over the country. She enjoys traveling, and has also been to El Salvador, Costa Rica, and the Bahamas. Kati is the mother of two wonderful, spunky girls who love to explore, dance, and even practice massage. “I am overjoyed to be at NHI and help students have work they love. Massage changed my life, and I want to help guide and support students through their journeys at NHI and into the field of massage therapy.”Jordan OliverJordan graduated from the NHI core program, at the Emeryville campus, in April 2012. Jordan pursued apprenticeship training for pre and postnatal massage after graduation. When relocating from the Bay Area to Modesto in 2013, she then began working in the spa industry and continued to build her own practice. In 2016 Jordan became a Certified Educator of Infant Massage. She now enjoys taking clients within her own private practice where she focuses on women’s health. In her free time, Jordan loves being with her husband Zach and their two wild daughters, Lily and Frankie. She also loves cooking, hiking, and reading. “I love teaching massage because I believe in its healing benefits, the power of human touch and the sense of community and acceptance it provides to clients and therapists, alike. I am ever-increasingly fascinated with the human body. I love to share this passion and excitement with students while coming alongside them to encourage them in pursuing the goals and dreams they have for their future.”
